"MAISON ANDRE" was founded in 1859 by Alfred André. The professional
restoration of art objects and furniture he started continues today at 107 Bd.
de Charonne, near Place de la Nation in Paris. The dedicated artisans are skilled
in cabinetry, and also in the restoration of marble statuary, plaster or terra
cotta objects, ceramics, ivory, amber, coral, etc They maintain the exceptionally
high quality workmanship achieved by the founder, Mr. André. Specific
examples are the rock crystal chest at l’Escorial, near Madrid, and the
statue of Apollo in the Archeological Museum in Athens. Modern methods and new
products assure more stable restorations than in the past. The Maison André’s
four generations of experience insure the preservation of the sense of beauty
